Sorry for bumping an old thread, but, quick question.
What would happen if i connected, say, Vertical yoke to Vertical ground on the board instead of ground to ground?
Will it end in a horrible smokey death?

If you use the 4 board connections and 4 yoke connections on the case technique then you can easily produce this effect by patching. All you get is a different display pattern although i have had two amber screen monitors go up in smoke by cross patching like this. Strangely they were both made by IBM and i've never had it happen before or since.

I totally understand now. Thank you for all your help. Once i get my hands on another little TV, i'll try it with the 4 phono for yoke in / board out. However, my first TV bend worked out quite well! click on the image to see a vid.
Thanks again Mr. Circuitbenders, Many a karmic reward to you.
What connections have you made to achieve this particular pattern ? It's mesmerizing!!! I want it.. I NEED IT!!!!
I have a small 5" b&w tv i've put sockets on all connections.. Can't really get any interesting effects.. Just the KITT bar kinda thing.. And I want a more "oscilloscope" effect.. Any hints ? I've tried alot of diff. hookups with plenty of amp power.. Maybe the tv only want to play KITT ?

I followed Censtron's Wave Vessel walk-through.
I can't remember how to do it off the top of my head, but if you google it, you'll be fine.
It's just about getting the wiring in the right combo.
You'll have to vid your results cos these things are great!

Got a couple of videos on the circuitbenders server that i'm not sure if i've posted before.
http://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/demos/wobblemacdemo.avi
http://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/demos/wobblespectre.avi
First one is a mac classic, the second is a BBC micro green screen monitor
Those are both with all 4 yoke connections connected to stereo inputs

Wow second vid is NICE ! Ok now I replaced my RCA jacks with bannana's.. Should make experimentation even easier.. Get ready for video..
EDIT: Video but not the result I was looking for.. Sadly the real oscillosope effect is eluding me.. Anyways here's something to start with.. Oh and BTW that's a gas mask infront haha..

EDIT: Put a 500 uH coil on the horizontal board jacks... IT'S COSMIC !
