OK just taken my 606 over the edge. there are some amazing bends on here. however, i've fucked it by messing with the two rows of chips bottom right when looking from underneath. made som totally wicked doubled up and triplet patterns but also fucked it beyond life. there are some really beatiful tonal bends bottom right and in the middle, really spacy out there rythmic chord stuff. Want to try again, anyone got a 606 for sale?

You are braver than I am.  I want to crack mine open but I am too much of a chicken!  Good luck!

George - did you break it?  Like, is it actually no longer working as a 606?  If you were at all interested in selling the remains (possibly to partially fund buying a new one?) then I'd be quite keen to get my hands on it.  I've got this idea, involving a much much faster CPU...
