Simplest bend imaginable?

I found most keyboards give good results if you carefully pull out the power supply, but don't fully starve it of electricity. You know how light switches have a grey area whereby you can make the light dim, irregular, buzzy, but niehter fully on or off? Well I find keyboards usually have the same grey area, whereby they might 'spaz out' and produce crazy sounds!

yea thats one of the easiest bends - just bung a 1k pot on the battery + , works great 99% of the time
casios are specially good with that...

im had done that mod on my casio rapman however im not getting the same results as when the batteries are low.
when the batteries are low it starts to play random keys and really wig out, the tune sorta goes off and there are some random effects going on too. however with the 1k pot all its doing is something like an effect like a aliasing bitcrush.

i connected the pot on the positive, however my friend said doing this on the neg was the way to go, but my results have been limited. any other ideas?

try a smaller or greater value pot on the same area *battery +* and see what happens

often referred to as 'shitshot'. great on casios. try a normaily closed momentary across the battery terminals. a quick 'pulse' of no power can induce some heavy spazzing.
