Thanks to the nice people at www.prophet64.com and their brilliant synth cartridge i am now the pround owner of a beast of an analogue synth in the form of a modded commodore 64. The TB303 emulation actually sounds like what i always wanted the bottom end of a 303 to sound like i.e. huge meaty bass!
Mods consist of: 4 assignable control knobs Feedback / resonance knob Composite Video output Noise floor / feedback knob on-off switch Audio in to filter Audio out jack DIN sync
I've got one quick demo at the moment, i'll upload some more when i have time DEMO1
Now thats what i CALL analogue!

Nice one! Did you install a second SID chip when you did the mod? I saw a good tutorial via getlofi.com and seemed the mod is a bit fiddly in parts, but from the sound example you posted it seems well worth the work. I look forward to the other samples
Very nice - I just ordered a synthcart for my Atari 2600, which has some crunchy beats going. Excitement!
My synthcart turned up yesterday by an uncanny coincidence, can you tell me what voltage atari 2600's work on so i don't have to make any effort finding out?

I haven't installed another SID on this one mainly because the only other one i had handy was an older 6550 which i'm told won't stack properly with a newer 8550. On the plus side the prophet 64 people make a board that allows you to easily mount another SID for just 4 euros http://www.prophet64.com/sid2sid.php

Theres a really good speech synth cart for the VIC20 in existance but you'd have to keep your eye on ebay to find one. I'm not entirely sure what sound chip the VIC20 has but you can make an audio out
