hi i just finished doing the 'data line cut' style bend on this beast. However during my hatchet job i disconected a small black cable- would anyone be so kind as to post a pic of the board so i can see where it is meant to be- id need to see the side with all the resitors capacitors and ics - dont know right term for this side sorry.

That'll be the component side. I don't have a PSS140 but black cables on yamaha's are usually the ground lead aren't they, it probably goes to any ground connection on the board.

yep thats what i mean - the component side-
i think it may have effected the release- all notes seem to sustain for a long time- but again may be due to the hatchet job i did.
