Anyone got a decent LED strobe circuit?
« on: July 25, 2008, 05:43:00 AM »

Does anyone have or know of a decent schematic for an LED strobe, preferably capable of running about 100-200 LED's?
I've been searching round the new for a while but can't seem to find anything really usable.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I built quite a good setup with some Luxeons, some big mosfets, and controlled by an arduino board.  Definitely Luxeons are the way to go.  With two red, two green and two blue, I could light up most of my garden.

Now that would look very cool scaled up a bit and mounted on the wall in a club displaying audio frequencies.

Basically someone has asked me if i could build a big board of solid strobe, and i'm thinking it should be possible with a few hundred 10mm LED's. This is more about having as much strobe surface as possible rather than sheer brightness.
