Bonjourno people, i have a little query about using trim pots with normal potentiometers, to set the min-max sweep. Basically, i don't which value trim pot goes with which pot. If i was using a 500k pot, wot value trimmer wud i need to use, to set the min-max sweep???
hope that makes sense :-)

What value trim pot you'll need depends entirely on the specific machine your bending but if the main pot is over 200K or so, i'd probably start with a 100K trimmer.
Whatever the trimmer pot is set to will set the minimum resistance but bear in mind that it will also add its value to the value of the main pot. So trimmer pot set at 50K with a 500K main pot will have a minimum value of 50K and a maximum value of 550K

ah ok, that makes sense, yes the machine i'm doing is a speak & math, but the thing crashes every time i go too hi or low on the pitch dial, which gets rather annoying after a while!
