korg 770 cv/gate

hi,
i really want to trigger my korg 770. yeah, i know there is a kit by kenton. but i would like to make it on my own. do you have any tips for me? there is a remote connector on the back. maybe that is a good starting point. some schematics a here: http://synthetizer-sche.chez-alice.fr/korg/770.jpg

That schematic is completely unreadable. Try this one from the ever useful cykong site  http://www.cykong.com/Synths/Korg%20770/Images/Korg770-Schematics-Coloured.gif

You really need a scope for this, but from the diagram on the top left it looks like a keyboard is a simple resistor ladder. I think i'd try cutting the link between the point labelled 69 and the image of the solder tag strip to its left. This should cut the CV coming from the keyboard, which you can then replace with an external CV at point 69 or 106. God knows what kind of scale it'd use though.

What does the remote input actually do? It looks like it should trigger the envelope, but i'm not sure of anything on a machine that has a 'singing level' control.

Theres loads of info on the 700s and the 800DV on the cykong site that might prove useful
