Hing hon fault - some keys and buttons not working.
« on: April 24, 2012, 10:31:34 PM »

Some of the keys on my ek-001 are not working, ive tried looking for shoddy soldering and following the traces back to blob but it all looks solid to me...  The keyboard matrix is super simple, all the keys jsut go to earth so, ive tried connecting the traces of the keys that dont work to the earth and no joy ;-( .

I fear the problem lies InSiDe tHe BlOb... scary, unfixable shit...

Any thoughts?

I'd touch up all the solder joints around the keys/grounds and check thoroughly with my continuity tester. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid you're doomed.

Or buy a new one ;) I still haven't bent one of these. I feel like I should, but at the same time they seem kind of bland for something I'd have to get off of flea-bay.
