spare MIDI keyboard??
« on: June 05, 2011, 07:06:07 PM »

i have a couple of spare MIDI keyboards, both by evolution,
and i'm considering what they could be turned into  ;)

one is the little beige 2half oct minikey job with a joystick/MIDI plug,
no velocity, ther than via button combination. i reckon the board is
-literally- bent, as some keys don't work unless you really press hard.
(candidate for destruction/resurrection)

the other is quite a handy little 'board', shame it doesn't have velocity.
i think that's 48minikeys (the black one), no other controls, and a  MIDI
out port. takes its power off the MIDI.

both of these do, which is their principle attraction, other than funky-junk
appeal. one was, like 5quid in a market, and i found the other one.

i could do with a sample/drum trigger device ( it'd be nice to have
velocity... ), but open to ideas here, bearing in mind i mainly use a
laptop atm, and it'd be cool to have something i can chuck in the bag with it.

Get hold of a musini and attach it to the MIDI socket (I don't know if it would be possible to take the guts of the MUSINI and put them inside the same case as the keyboard???)
