Title: TR - 505/ TR 626 witch is better to mod(germany)

i searching for German member or members they can speak German!
i want to mod a tr 505 or tr 626!
that is a new world for me!

both are good to mod, but the 626 has better and more sounds and individual outs.  The 505 is a favourite of mine it has so many bends/modifications that you can do on it, but the 626 is also choc full of good things.

505 has a Pitch resistor on the mainboard 626, 606, 727, 707 doesn't !

You'd do a lot better swapping the ceramic resonator for an LTC1799 though. If you replace the resistor with a pot you can only pitch upwards and the couple of times i did it, the metal pot i used started to have some kind of weird proximity effect whenever i put my hand near it. Could probably have solved that by grounding the body of the pot though.

You can install individual drum channel pitch controls on the 505, but fitting it inside the case isn't much fun.
