so this is just the preliminary buildup to the main event is it?

Lets hope you don't fall foul of the forum rules at any point then  ;)

thanks, kits...

i like a slightly larger container better. but not too big. if the controls are spread out more, it makes for more comfortable operation.

i made another one in a plastic vhs tape box. it is very comfortable. one that size is easier to play with both hands on controls.

normally i do at least one body contact on APC as well. but, the metal box did not lend itself to that...this is why, really, i prefer plastic boxes (molded plastic, cassette tape box, electric drill box, etc). they also drill easy. i build MY  synths in those because i like them best. and since they are so big, i can build 2-3 separate circuits in them.

as a matter of interest, do you have a voltage regulator and proper power filtering circuit on these things if you are using an external PSU? I've had some wierd problems with crappy power supplies causing strange interference and instability on siren and APC circuits. Cheap PSU's with no regulation tend to allow AC ripple to leak onto the DC power making things go a bit odd.

After having a couple of emails from people complaining things didn't work quite right with certain power supplies i decided to build power regulation into anything i built like this.

nah, this one is strictly 9v.
i need to learn about voltage regulators still.

...im still waitin on my apc in the postttttt! i shudda just built one i guess... ahwell!

iv started to have a problem... ive been making/mouting a voice altering circuit in a old pencil case style tin... all was going well and fine untill i hit one snag.... somewhere along the circuit it was bridgeing via the tin! the inside has no paint coating and was somehow making the circuit.... which resulted in a constant sorta feedback noise through the speaker...

we live and learn!
