Title: Locking washers for rotary selectors.
Post by: manufactured zero on August 21, 2009, 03:28:44 PM
I picked up 50 1 pole 12 way rotary switches the other day. The only problem is they didn't come with the locking washers to select how many clicks you actually want from them. Any idea where i could order some?

Cheers in advance.

Shane.

Can't you just stick something in the hole for the right number of clicks?

Any old washer will hold it in once the nut is done up.

I use really heavy wire doubled up , coated in solder and bent into an 'L'

It works but when you're not making it for you you worry that it's gonna' come back and bite you on the ass. With the propper washer in there you have to give it some full strength tweaking to break the lock. I'm guessing you probably can't buy em seperate though which is a bummer.
