Introducing myself...
« on: April 11, 2009, 03:08:51 PM »

Hi everyone, my name's Sam and I'm new to circuit bending (I did play around with some electronics about 14 years ago, not knowing what I was doing). So yeah, I'm glad to see there's such a large community that share the same passion for bending  :)

So, a bit about myself... Well I've been producing music for over 11 years and have been through pretty much every genre in electronic music but now I've narrowed it down to Gabber, Speedcore and Breakcore.
I'm at Uni studying a Level 5 Profesional Diploma in Creative Music Technology and I also work part time.

I live in a quiet town called Eastbourne on the south coast of England and there is a Snooker/Strip Club called Minnesota Jax where I regulary play my music. The event is called Asylum  :D

So about circuit bending, well I'm collecting a load of electronics to bend and so far have managed to get a Vtech Talking Lesson One Plus and a Yamaha PSR-77.

I hope to meet people and exchange ideas with bending and music.

If you would like to hear some of my music, check it out at myspace.com/illuminasty  ;D

I hope this don't get too confusing but I've changed my profile name and avatar to the Illumini Project alias.
"Why?" I hear you cry, ok, well for a while I've been umming and arrring about what genre to use with what alias and I've now worked it out as thus; Illuminasty is used for my Gabber, Speedcore & Breakcore  productions and Illumini Project will now be used for experimental stuff instead of commercial Trance, Psytrance and Psydub. I may throw the odd above mentioned into the playlist but the majority of tracks will be experimental. This will include Circuit Bending  :)
I am, of course, talking about myspace so once I've got some circuit bent stuff up I'll let you know in the relevant posting section.

No-no. I like this one! It don't matter if you can't read the text. It's more there to stop people nicking it (even though anyone could easily photoshop it out  :P)

I'm working on an alternative skin for CamelSpace if anyone's interested? I'll post pics of the finished product if you want  :)

Them avatars aint working mate.

If you want people to take you and your music seriously then you should probably think about employing someone who knows what they're doing to knock up some proper artwork.
