Title: Detonator switch

I was pondering a GIANT noise box, something filthy, my question isn't exactly about the circuitry (I'll have fun enough breadboarding that myself), but I want to house it in something like those old dynamite detonator boxes (http://www.nwmangum.com/FunStuff/images/Detonator-1.jpg (http://www.nwmangum.com/FunStuff/images/Detonator-1.jpg)). I was just wondering how I could get it to stay up so it wouldn't fall and turn on.

I'm sure it'll come to me soon, I've just started thinking this out, but the less thinking I have to do the more thankful I'll be :P

The "pump handle" detonators have a generator geared to the rod that the handle sticks out of.  When you push the plunger down it spins up the generator and then closes a contact when it hits the bottom, firing the det charges.

If you make your plunger stiff enough (oo-er) then it won't drop down on its own (oo-er).  If you use a motor as a generator you could try shorting across its terminals - this is how electromagnetic brakes on vehicles (retarders) work.
