Title: Painting
Post by: untune on December 03, 2007, 01:12:03 AM
Hey all,

Got a few cans of Plasti-kote fast dry enamel from Hobbycraft to give a keyboard a nice new look.

Just wondering if there are any tips from anyone who's done the same... there can be problems with some plastics etc

Will I need to use primer, will I need to sand them lightly so the paint adheres better?  Don't want any of the text etc to show through so just wondering.

Cheers

hey, dunno if you painted already or not, but a good thing to do is maybe sand down the entire thing VERY LIGHTLY, since youre using the paint that bonds to plastic you might not have to do that.

also. wash it off with soap and whatnot.. it'll degrease the plastic.

put it in some water to clean it off and then maybe air dry it if you have time. that way it'll stay as clean as possible. if you cant dont use paper towls.

hjope that helps
