I did it! Trigger ins and voice mods. Fairly straight tone mods, but there is all manner of starnge stuff in this box, just need another donor.

Nice, but that video just makes me lust after an MPC.

no no no, this is how its done  ;D ;D ;D

If i could find the feckin notes for that one i'd post some details. Thats the second time i've modded a DR110 from scratch and lost the notes.

Theres a whole lot more sound controls you can put in there but the wiring starts to turn into a complete nightmare of titanic proportions.  >:(

Come to think of it, switching trigger inputs would probably be far more use that the DIN Sync that i installed on that one, but that was whay the bloke who commissioned it wanted.

nice job paul.
i want another one to go nuts with, the mods i stuck in are actually really useful sounds for me, ie basic analogue pitchable drum sounds. they just sit on top of samples so nicely.
dave hoohaa's modded 110 's really are quite silly tho

Dayum.  Where would one get a custom panel like that manufactured?

Circuitbenders

Good god, now those mods are a bit over the top, certainly looks cool though!

That looks like it was printed out on a decent printer and stuck on to me although if you want a really good CNC milled front panel you can't got far wrong with schaeffer-apparatebau in germany. You download their panel design software, draw out your front panel and connect to their server where it'll tell you how much it'd cost. When you're finished you just upload your design and they'll engrave the front panel onto a material of your choice and send it to you. You're looking at about 35 euros for a 2 unit rackmount panel, which is pretty good.

Their english site is at:

Wow that not bad pricing at all.

But... their webpage info animation shows someone in cartoon using an iMac designing a front panel with their software...  but their software is windows only!  Well it claims to run under wine in Linux... so we shall see...
