Title: Kawai XD-5 drum synth

Sometimes things actually turn out exactly how you envisioned them  ;D

Thats a Kawai XD-5 drum synth module. If anyone doesn't know its essentially exactly the same engine as the Kawai K4 synth with the same resonant filters and the same 4 oscillators per sound but on the XD-5 the oscillators have been replaced with drum samples and tones.

There was no room inside for any mods so i stuck a 24 way patchbay etc in an external case connected with a 25 way D connector. The XD-5 runs on 12V so i thought i'd stick some cathode tubes in the patchbox and use a clear blue case to make it look cooler. The only problem is that you now need a mother of a power supply to run it!

I'll get some sounds up when i've worked out how to actually program the thing properly :D
