If you want an good idea of what a EMS Synthi 100 sounds like you can't go far wrong with getting a copy of Jack Dangers - Forbidden Planet Explored.
Basically its Jack Dangers performing a new soundtrack for Forbidden Planet live, on a Synthi 100.
Even better theres a second CD called Sci-Fi Sound effects consisting of loads of sounds and atmospheres done on the Synth 100.

Right, who wants to buy a kidney from me, one careful owner? I need some cash quick.
About £45,000 should do it

An epic price to pay for an epic synth.

Jesus christ. I just watched the vid. I used to resent the jupiter 4 i had for taking up as much room as a bloody great dane's kennel in the studio. But this thing........ i reckon i'd have to have the garage patched into the noise room. Circuit bending the house with a printer cable running through the garden. Tis a true monster. It sound's good though :)
