I'm probably being lazy here but at present my electronics knowledge is limited to what some components and how changing their values might alter the way a circuit functions.
What I'm not great at doing is deciphering schematics. I can quite happily populate a labelled pcb or follow a stripboard layout however so I was wondering if anyone perhaps had a proto or stripboard layout for...

I gather matt himself is a user of the forum so perhaps he has experimented with layouts?

You could build it dead-bug style:

That way when you go to modify component values you don't end up lifting the tracks off the veroboard or blobbing big dollops of solder across everything.

Like I say it's more a tried and tested strip or pad layout of the filter in question I'm after.

long ago, my dad built a tone generator this way. using an i.c., and other components. it was just resistors to i.c. pins, everything was so tiny and close together...and his hands were HUGE! lol....i wonder how he did it...he did such neat work soldering. when i was a kid and soldered a shorted wire, he would always bust my chops about being sloppy! lol

One of my employers has said he'll give me loan of his breadboard to try some stuff out. Still, if anyone has a layout for the filter in question, it'd be much appreciated.

its always best to breadboard any schematic so i would Definitely get a bread board to check it also power it up from the circuit your adding it to to hear if its right i use strip-board

i havent got a design drawn up i just make it up as i go haven't made many of these filters good luck

just so happens the head engineer at one of the venues I work at is giving me a lend of his breadboard at a staffing meeting later :)
