Title: how to activate a toy by voice ?
Post by: dataeraser on March 11, 2009, 09:45:37 AM
Hi circuit benders,

I'm new here but I have always consulted this forum to get answers to some of my small questions. I'm an italian circuit bender and I do circuit bending over two years and I'm always looking (like everyone) new possibility and new circuits to be added to toys.
So this is my question: is there a way to activate TOYS (for example, activate the button that plays a song) by the voice?
I found this schematics
VOICE ACTIVATED SWITCH (http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/sensors/025/cir17.gif)
ideas and suggestions are welcome.
p.s.: Could be this a solution? VOX/RELAY KIT (Voice Activated Switch)  (http://www.ewsaunders.com/electronickits.htm) .....even if it operates on 12V DC  :-\
thank you in advance  ;)

I'd guess you could build that kit into a toy to activate it.  You can probably find a schematic for a similar circuit and save yourself some money.

By the by, did you play at the Bent Festival last year under the name EraSer?
