Free goodies in Glasgow
« on: November 25, 2008, 07:24:35 PM »

All too heavy to post, sorry.

Knackered Casio FZ-10M - powers up but nothing on the display.  No idea, checked the PSU and got no further.  Masses of disks for it, too

Hohner Organetta (possibly?) electric piano - "divider organ"-type piano from some time in the 1970s, very funky tubular stand.

Tanglewood bass amp - probably working, no plug on it, can't be bothered fitting one.

(edit)
Sony CCD-V6000 camcorder - not circuitbent but has a PSU fault that causes trippy behaviour when the digital effects mode is on

Come save this lot from the skip.  Collect in NW Glasgow.

PM or email me off-forum.

If at first you don't succeed, stick it through a fuzzbox.

I had extactly the same problem on one of my FZ's. It wasn't anything to do with the screen but before i could narrow it down i realised that the drive and disk controller seemed to be fried so i just junked the motherboard and sold the rest for spares.

If nobody wants the FZ i'd gladly take the floppy drive off your hands, its a bit tricky to get it out though.

In my experience disks from one FZ refuse to load on any other FZ, which is a bit odd
