So I got a Casio SK-60 and did the "randomish note" bend.  Works fine.  I then did a RAM pin shorting bend.  Worked great.

I then added line in and line out.  Worked fine.

Added an LTC1799 - issues.  Replaced stock clock crystal-worked fine.

Closed the thing up.  Worked fine.

Connected line out, crash.  Turns out connecting/disconnecting the line out via the switching jack was causing crashing.

Now whenever I use my RAM bends, the unit crashes INSTANTLY.

Any ideas?

I'm really stuck.

If you completely unsolder the Line Out does it go back to being stable?

I had one toy acting weirdly a few months ago, had great pitch range unless the LFO was connected, then it became unstable even at its original pitch, and would crash when you pressed certain letters. Eventually narrowed it down to being a problem occurring when there was a length of wire soldered to the lower of the two pitch points. To solve this I used a length of shielded cable to connect the LFO, with one end of the shield soldered to ground. Now it's perfectly stable!
