I’ve got a Zoom 1201 and would really like to do the  clock modification , I’ve had the ltc1799 for a while now and I think I’ve finally plucked up the courage to give it a go.  I think I’ve found all the points but if any one could let me know if they are correct I’d really appreciate it. I’m also not sure where to solder the output of the ltc1799, does it just go to the where the middle leg of the crystal/ xtal is when I remove it ?

I couldn’t attach any photos to my post so had to stick them up on imgur.

Hello, I've recently got a PSS 380 but transpose ,tempo and record buttons are not working. According to service manuals, all these buttons are wired to the CPU (correct me if I'm wrong).
Can anybody give me any ideas or insight about the damage?
Is it worth repairing ?
Thanks !

PCBs for the memory expander or the Phat Philterbank.

The answer to both is no. Sorry.

I was just down at the state library in my city. It has a fabrication lab (3D Printers, Lasercutter etc). Anyway, I was really impressed by how easy SMD soldering looked using a hot air gun.

If you are interested in doing up some PCBs I'm happy to help. I'd recommend using SMD and making them fit easily inside the casio.

Ok. I have very limited PCB routing experience (I've only made two eurorack modules, both passive) but I could give it a try. Could you please post details and schematics here?

Was going to post this in the other forum, "News, comments and requests", seems I can't post there...

I'm trying to view the attachments for this post:

They aren't working, is there some alternate way to see them?

Trying to figure out which crystal on the S20 (my case a Remix 16) to pull.  There are 3.

Hi, New member, and new to circuit bending
I've acquired this 4 channel mixer circuitboard out of an old 8 channel ac powered mixer, original unit came with a hard drive, screen, and built in recorder, but I only want the 4 channel circuit board, I'm not fully confident with electricity YET( that will come as a experiment) , I wanted to know if Its possible to use this circuitboard as a standalone mixer, powered by a 12v battery? I'd like it as the mixing station of the portable studio box Im building, for some on the road modular experiments and fun.

Hey Y'all.

I'm impossibly newbesent but ya gotta start somewhere. I've just in the last year started a synth collection, which lead me to sequencers, which led me to DIY sequencers.....which led me here.

I got what I paid for when I ordered a JOYO delay pedal that was basically DOA....I got some sound out of it but pretty much only inthe "true bypass"(!!!) mode...Firstly, I believe these are candidates but I don't know for certain so I'm curious if there is anyone who has moded one. Secondly I'm just interested in general know-how...is there maybe a list of tools for the "Novice Spelunkers" of this world to stare at and then turn around and realize that they are holding it upside down?

Rock On!

Hi,
I recently bought a Yamaha RX5 from Con bay (sorry ebay) and it arrived and powered up and works fine, but I cannot get it to read the waveform cart data. I have two carts and have tried both and no joy. I've selected the key assign button and can scroll through the internal sounds and can also see a CP(copy) waveform, but no mention of CART in the display.

I've cleaned the contacts on both the RX5 and carts and still no joy. Is it knackered?
Cheers

a lot of graham's mods can be found here:

http://www.warningwillrobinson.com.au/

Generally they work on an SK1, but may need a little tweaking.

I've done the SLOW AD mod, Phat Filter mod, Memory Expansion, as well as the patch bay mods.

Also, I recommend trying capacitors/diodes/transistors/relays in your patchbay for more interesting bends.
