Title: Freezing!!! (but its not a problem!)
Post by: tobythirling on February 01, 2007, 05:02:32 PM
i picked up a vtech 'my laptop' for a few quid, its really robust and has some nice bends, easy pitch stuff and what not but here's the thing: first time i opened it up i found a bend that made it freeze on one note of a tune, or  a sylabal of a word and it was just what i was lookng for! the note could be modified with a pitch pot and by linking it to another resistor gave a nice distortion and another gave a wobbly crunchy glitch ontop of the note. so i put a switch in and every thing was great, left it for a night and when i came back it didnt do it anymore!!! its just a goddamn pitch switch now! any ideas why this f*ckwit of a machine  is taunting me so, and how i can tell it whos boss!!!
  cheers guys toby.

Yeah, maybe the circuit needs less resistance for this to happen?
Or maybe it's something to do with capacitors discharging..
