Title: VSS30 - clicks when sample button pressed. help? :)
Post by: LonesomeSpaceboy on May 02, 2009, 06:08:18 PM
is it normal for a VSS30 to make a clicking sound when sample is pressed. the click becomes the beginning of the sample, which makes looping of string kind of sounds a bit annoying because it clicks inbetween each loop cycle.
ive midi-retrofitted this keyboard, as well as other simple things like line in/out etc.

any help or accounts of your experience with the vss30 would be helpful

thanks
isaac

mine does click some times but mostly does NOT. maybe its the way you are sampling with the vss-30 you can press the sample  button and wait for a few seconds then play the sound into the RCA socket  or mic, it wont start sampling untill it hears a loud enouth sound. if you start sampling while a loud sound is being played into the machine it may have a click sound at the begging. hope this helps
Title: Yamaha VSS-30 - clicks on sample looping
Post by: madgregbass on December 13, 2012, 03:20:19 PM
When looping samples, a there's a click at the beginning of the sample as it repeats.  I want a smooth sounding loop to simulate a continuous note.  I'm wondering if LonesomeSpaceboy has found any answers besides matt the modulator's ?
ALSO any help with MIDI circuitry would be appreciated.  I have this VSS30 wired to organ pedals (homemade pedalboard), and while the sample function of the VSS is nice, triggering MIDI with these footpedals would be even better!

THANK YOU
