I was just wondering if anyone has a crafty way of dealing with this unfortunate situation?
I normally just use tape but I'm sick of putting new tape on every time I change the batteries. Also it starts to really build up a lot of guck which is no good.
Thanks benders.

What is the panel for? If it's for a keyboard or something you can most likely just find a replacement for it online. If it's for a toy though, I don't really know what to tell you. Maybe you could make something, but it'd be kind of tricky.
Its for a casio sk-10
a lot of cheap casios and yamahas use battery door covers that are interchangable. You can probably find something from a cheaper or junked machine that would fit.
I made a couple of speak&spell battery doors by cutting a DVD case to size and then fashioning a bending clip out of the case edge. After a lot of swearing they look and work fine.

I make them myself aswell. Some small pieces, a big one and some super glue. Works well. I could make a "tutorial" thread if people would be interested...
make it so!

Ok I'll do it.. My camera is on vacation at the moment so you'll have to do with crappy pics for now..

How about just using a rectangular bit of plastic and two screws?
