Title: The simplest sound making machine
Post by: epicentre on June 29, 2010, 12:21:04 AM
How to make one? ;)

What I mean is I want something very simple to make any kind of a buzz when I press a button. So I know I need a button, battery and a speaker, but what to put between them?

A mechanical buzzer?  That's about as simple as it goes.  If you want a loud one, get hold of some old car horns from a scrapyard - they are just mechanical buzzers with a diaphram attached to the moving part.

If you want an electronic beeper circuit, give me an hour or so and I'll draw one for you...

The buzzer is a nice idea, I'll try that, thanks :)

I would love to see that circuit too if it's not too much of a hassle.

If you're wondering what it's for: i like making silly props/toys like sci-fi rayguns and such, recently I started adding some LED's that light up whenyou press the trigger to them, and now I want them to make some noise ;)
