Hi, just uploaded some quick demos of my drone box/synth thingy that I made which was inspired by Nic Collins book Handmade Electronic Music. I call the machine The Pulsillator. I'm a newbie here and gonna try to embed them but if it doesn't work I'll just post the links. The Youtbe vids don't do it justice. Hooked up to some FX and a decenet amp it sounds pretty wicked.

lovely stuff, you can't lose with things buiilt into old test equipment cases ;D
Love the SteamPunk design :D
i watched that first video, i love this thing! it is much different, much rawer sounding than the drone synths i have built. i like yours better! lol
it sure looks cool! the meters are very cool!
Thanks for your kind comments folks. I'm going to add a simple filter to it next to give me a bit more tonal variations.
That really is a beautiful box. What kind of filter you thinking of putting in there?
I've just been experimenting with a really simple RC filter as described by Nic Collins in his book that I have been working from. I fitted something like a .1pF cap and a 100k pot between the output and ground and it acts like a simple tone control but because of the complex signal of 4 gated oscillators buzzing away together, the effect is quite noticeable. On a scope it shows the signal pattern changing from a square wave to pretty much triangle.
