Title: Korg Kaossilator Bends?
Post by: ScissorFeind on July 18, 2011, 10:54:41 PM
So, I thought I was cool, having my kaossilator open on my table here, about to add in an LTC1799.
Then I saw this: http://youtu.be/wEnpG0FMarc (http://youtu.be/wEnpG0FMarc)

I was pretty intimidated, to say the least...

Then I saw this: Circuit Bent Korg Kaossilator Sequencer by freeform delusion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW7-0qo_rQs#ws)

I have been trying to contact freeform dilusion, I am curious as to which pins he is bending. I am hesitant to start jabbing at it in my usual way just yet (Cost me my last $80!)

Does anyone have contact with this person, I only found him as a member of several social monitoring services, which I am reluctant to participate in.

Otherwise,

Does anyone know any good mods for the Kaossilator?

having got to know it a bit, and after looking around sites, this looks like
the most promising route with a control mod:(several pages to link through)

https://kaossilator.wordpress.com/

he finds a better spot for the sustain switch(/gate!) on the later page.

his box allows fast extrnal control - but if a sustain switch point was controlled
by a gate input :) >there's already a percussion/one-hit synchronisation - i've
started to look on it as a bit like those old handclapper/perc units although it
does much more.

there's also the Play, Rec functions. maybe Play on/off could be set by?dinsync? :)
lol
