Title: Korg Poly 800 Mk. II mods.
Post by: Glitch Militia on May 24, 2014, 05:03:09 PM
Hi I did the Moog Slayer and FM mod on my Korg Poly 800 Mk. II.

It seems that the cutoff is not working. The others are. What could be the cause of this? I checked it over and it seems to be done correctly. Also what is the specs of the internal battery? I need to replace it.

Any help appriciated. Thanks :)

The battery is just a standard CR2032 that you find in a lot of kit.

I assume you've tried changing the parameters that affect the cutoff? Try changing the cutoff parameter to 30 or so, and turn down the amount the filter envelope acts on the cutoff to zero  If either of these parameters are set too high, it'll appear as if the cutoff knob has no effect.

Theres no really a lot that can go wrong with this mod. The pot just acts as a voltage divider that changes the 0-5v CV going into the filters cutoff.

Thanks?

turn down the filter envelope amount parameter to zero? I'm not sure the exact name of the parameter that korg use.

I'm not sure how else to explain it.

Does anyone have info on how to perform the 12/24db slope mod?

I've done the cutoff, res and FM mods so far and they're great.
