Title: Proper pitch wheel with a LTC1799

Hey guys, I'd like to get some opinions of people experienced with LTC1799 on how feasible it would be to use the aforementioned chip to create a proper pitchbend wheel with 1 octave up/down range and a spring loaded potentiometer. The keyboard I have is Casio SA-65.

It's probably be possible but i suspect it would take a lot of experimentation to get it in any way accurate, and the pitch curve might be a little odd.

It depends what kind of pot you get in pitch bender assemblies, although it shouldn't be too hard to create a pot that covers a certain range from one resistance value to another, if your initial pot is big enough.

I guess it wouldn't be possible after all, at least not in the reange i'm interested in, because the LT1799 has a max. frequency of 33Mhz and the Casio is clocked with a 21.75 Mhz (or something similar) crystal, so the LT1799 would be unable to double the clock frequency to get an octave up

That does assume that the frequency response is linear, which i suspect it wouldn't be.
