I've been painting up a mt-100 for a friend, and it looks rad. Only prob is it would be good to have some of the controls labeled.
I was thinking of rub off transfer letters, but that seems very time consuming and its hard to find small enough letters.
Also, maybe printing out labels on adhesive paper, but I don't want them to rub off or fade. Then a clear coat of paint over the whole thing?
Any other suggestions on labeling painted gear?
Thanks,
Noam

Or you could use transparent inkjet printable decal paper like you get with model kits
My favourite technique for pedals is OHP (overhead projector) film.
Print a reverse version of your image then turn it over and the film itself protects it.
Give the surface that it's going on a quick coat of clear-coat, use that to stick the image down then give it another couple of coats of clear to seal it.
wow, so many good ideas - thanks a lot!
I ended up using a label maker - one of the new-ish ones. I painted the keyboard white, so the labels all but disappear. Looks pretty good.
