Title: casio ctk-50 output jack modification
Post by: kora on February 13, 2009, 02:19:56 PM
Hi! First I don´t know anything about electronics! :(

Now my question: I have a casio CTK-50 keyboard and unfourtunatley it has no output or headphones jack. I want to use it for recording so I opened it and there are two cables (red and white) going to the internal speaker 8 (ohm). Is it possible to use them to build in a jack?
I once build a s-trigger converter myself so i think i could make the soldering and i also have a jack. But i don´t know how/if this will work. Can anyone please give me some advice? Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks!

Just wire it to the speaker connections. If its too loud or distorts, take a look at this page http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/speaker_to_line.html

Great!

it works and i´m glad to say that there is no distortion. Thanks very much again for your advice. I made two connections, so that the internal speaker still works. I can chose now between internal speaker and output jack. Nice!

Kind regards, Kora
