Title: J202 transistors for a bluesbreaker 2 effects pedal
Post by: maxx907 on August 05, 2009, 03:02:56 PM
Can anyone out there please point me in the direction of a supplier in the U.K. for 2 of the said devices. I am attempting to repair a bluesbreaker 11 guitar effects pedal and I have replaced the chip and the BC548 but cannot source a pair of J202's in the U.K. - or -  Are there any equivalents on the market?

the actual codes on each device are as follows : J202  F0236AB and J202 C006AA, I assume that the latter part of the codes are m/f codes and not component type. The case types are TO-92

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Can you post a link to the circuit you're building?  All the circuits that come up when I google for the bluesbreaker 2 just have a pair of opamps.

2SJ202 sounds awfully like some fairly ordinary little FET.

Cheers, I sourced the components from Farnell eventually via info from this forum. Unfortunately the replacement of the said components did not fix the device. O hum!
