Title: Will the video out mods as seen on sk's etc work on lcd sets.
Post by: manufactured zero on September 03, 2009, 09:20:57 AM
As the title suggests. Just wondering if video out works on LCD monitors?

I'm guessing it doesn't to be honest but if anyone knows otherwise i'd love to know.

Cheers!

i think it produces a different kind of feedback to a CRT display, I'm not sure though, I just have split memories of me and a mate accidentally glitching out his lcd screen when trying to set up some vj hardware

I believe the SK mod wouldn't work on an LCD screen that has a digital circuit.  I think the circuit would have to be analogue or at least semi-analogue because of the way a CRT screen has to lock on to the signal that the SK is sending out to it.  I might be wrong, but that's the only logical explanation I can come up with.
