Title: LOLFM
Post by: 3rdness on April 25, 2010, 05:31:12 PM
Hey everybodies....

here is a link to my band LOLFM's new album:

http://lolfm.bandcamp.com/ (http://lolfm.bandcamp.com/)

Not exclusively bent, but we use a bent Casio MT-100, Yamaha PSS-130, CoolKeys Keytar, some APC type homemade stuff, Vtech Little Talking Scholar, A Yamaha RX-17, and other random toys and goodies. A lot of this is sampled and reshuffled through an MPC and KP3.  Plus we rock the NNN ipod synth and a duo of electribe EA-1's.

We just played at Bentfest and had a great time.  I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

Also, here is a video of us playing at the newly re-opened Flywheel in Easthampton, MA.  Flywheel is an incredible non-profit music and culture organization and performance space.  We were psyched to be asked to be the first act to play in their new location.

LOLFM 4.15.10 FLYWHEEL EASTHAMPTON, MA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziqm7r_N2Ak#lq-lq2-hq-vhq)

Thanks,

noam

The meandering and over lepping melodies remind me of older Orbital.  I have to wonder if they were an influence.  It reminds me of the Snivilization album in particular.
