somebody in another forum asked about how to dispose of these chemicals so i thought id ask you guys as you are much more knowledgeable about this stuff than the people in the type of forum it was from.
this is what he posted:
Okay guys, tricky question: how do I get rid of chemical waste?
I want to start making PCBs (I've realised the fact that I'm restricted to veroboard severely limits my DIY prospects), and I know a place where I can buy the chemicals, but what do I do with them once I've etched a board?
The local municipality doesn't do hazardous waste disposal because they lack the money and infra, so they rely on private companies, but the only private companies I've found that'll do it are aimed more at big corporations and charge a fortune for taking away your crap.
I've heard that some people mix the chemicals in with cement and make big cement blocks that can then safely be disposed of, but making cement blocks is hardly realistic for me
Who can I ask about this? What clever, preferably free (I'm a student) ways are there to get rid of the stuff?

Do you have roommates? Put the remaining etching solution in a cola bottle and label it "Parricide's DO NOT DRINK"

i told him just to tip it down the drain :)

I read it's okay to flush it down the toilet, and that you shouldn't put it down the sink; but I don't know why it would make that much of a difference.
