Title: Casio SK-5 filter bypass mod!
Post by: Nixot on June 19, 2011, 10:50:43 AM
Hey everyone!

I'm doing a filter bypass mod for the Casio SK-5. I've worked out, from reading the service manual and some trial and error, that there are four points you need to bridge with a wire leading to the same capacitor. I haven't been able to implement it fully just yet but when I do I'll note down what to bridge and share it with the community. So all you SK-5 owners pining for high frequencies will have them at last!

I'll probably be able to complete the mod tomorrow, and I'll update this topic when I've done it. See you then!

Well, I completed the mod! It certainly sounds a lot clearer and crisper now. I created a handy-dandy picture to assist anyone who wants to do this mod. It should be easy enough to follow. Enjoy!
Let me know if you have any problems.
