Title: Multiple out vactrol?

Has anyone ever tried having one LED controlling multiple photo resistors? I made a flashing LED circuit and I want to have multiple vactrol outputs. Any suggestions? Should I have a bunch of photoresistors glued to the one LED or have one photo resistor with multiple wires coming off of it for separate outputs of the variable resistance?

Also, when wiring up that photoresistor, there is one lead going to control resistance and one lead going to ground correct?


I was also thinking about using 1/8" jacks as the outputs/inputs for lfo bends.

It depends how you are using it and what circuit its in, but ususally you'd just wire in a LDR (light Dependant Resistor) as if it were a normal resistor or pot. Think of it as a pot thats controlled by light rather than turning a knob.

I'd go for several LDR's being activated by one LED, otherwise the different parts of the circuit you want to control with interact with each other if you wire them to the same LDR. Or just build several separate vactrols with the LED's running from the same source.
