Title: TV-Wobblevision makes annoying noise
Post by: brotherjacob on February 06, 2014, 12:46:02 PM
Hey there!!

Ive modded a tv to the extent, that the wobblevision works quite nicely. The horizontal deflection cables are attached to the audio-input but this thing makes an aweful noise as soon as it is fed with electricity. The problem I have is very similar to the one by this guy: How to make an oscilloscope from an old TV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shpoJ771m5A#ws)

He seemed to have found a solution with a transformer to get rid of that noise (Minute 6:30) but did not show how exactly he put that thing to work. Did anyone encounter the same problem and knows how to solve the noise problem? The solution must lie with the board, as when I short-circuited the blue with the red horizontal deflection cable outlets of the board, the noise is not constant anymore, but in 1 second intervals interrupted by a clicking noise + the ion cannon is out of order then. Does anyone have a practical advice how to circuit bent this problem? Resistor, trafo, any simple solution is welcome....
