Title: Tr 505 PSU?

Hi all,

I've finally got round to modding my Tr 505 with cicuitbender LTC1799 pitch and some ROM bends. Fun...!

I want to use it with a power adapter, rather than batteries so it doesn't go flat on me whilst recording etc.

On the rear is says cntr -ve 9v 30mA however I can't find a 30mA adapter anywhere!

I do have a standard BOSS 500mA adapter of that spec.

Can anyone advise if that would work, or what PSU's they use.

Having just finished modding it I don't want to f*** it up by overloading it with current!

When a bit of kit is labelled with a milliamp value, thats indicating how much current it draws and/or the minimum power supply spec required.

Any bit of electronic gear will only draw as much current as it needs, so as long as your power supply can deliver at least 30ma, it doesn't really matter how much its rated at. The 500ma on the Boss power supply is the maximum current it can theoretically deliver if called to do so, not how much current it delivers all the time.

It will run the TR505 fine.

-and thanks also for the LTC1799 pcb (+idiot proof guide!) It's a brill piece of modding kit.

my TR626 refuses any other adapter than the Boss PSA thing.
if i use an unregulated 9VDC it hums and the startstop LED
stays on, not good.
