Title: trigger via envelope
Post by: jahreed on August 29, 2017, 11:02:59 PM
wanted to share a recent eureka moment for me and my stock CB55

i built it without any trigger conditioning - 5 inputs, 5 outputs

previously i have had success using standard triggers (5v - 10ms) to trigger all of the sounds BUT i found the response to be quite uneven.

the other day on a whim i decided to output my MN Function module (eurorack eg generator) to drive a hihat (cymbal) pattern on the CB
by varying the envelope settings i was able to totally sculpt the tone of my cb55 voice, from attack, decay, brightness etc.   i was amazed at the range i could get - super easy to add modulation to that signal etc...

duplicated the test on the snare to even better effect.  tonight i am going to run the this same patch on the other three voices.

just wanted to share :)
