Title: Differences between l7806 and 78l06
Post by: NandoPC on November 27, 2017, 05:10:58 PM
Hi. This morning i  bought some components for a new proyect, and they give me a a l7806 instead a 78l06 that is what i needed. I want to know if i could use this transistor into my circuit. Which are the diferenced between l7806 and 78l06? I know both are positive voltaje regulators, but not too much. Thanks!!

L7806 come in a TO220 case and will be rated at 1A, and 78L06 are TO92 cased rated at 100ma?

You can use a L7806 in place of a 78L06, but the footprint and pinout will be different.
