Title: How to Swap out Keyboard?
Post by: Critical Vibrations on April 21, 2019, 06:39:07 PM
Hey Forum!  I've got a Casio MT-240 that has several broken keys....it's a great bending candidate, but I'd love to end up with a "whole" device by swapping out the broken keyboard for one from a broken M-Audio controller keyboard. Is this possible??  Is it only possible if the matrix on each matches "dimensions"? I'm just learning about keyboard matrices...not sure if I'm using the right terminology here.  I'm happy to spend some time with a continuity tester/multimeter sussing it out, but if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated! Thanks, have a great day!

Does it have MIDI? Pull it all apart, rackmount it and ditch the keyboard altogether  8)
