Title: How to change pitch and clicking-rate of clicks
Post by: Bat on June 30, 2007, 11:18:21 AM
My question is clear.

When i get a tone ,how can i change pitch.
Is there a schematic or is it just to insert a potmeter to change the resistance of the input/output values.

Also i get regularly nice clicks out of a wireless modem and wanted to know if i can make it click faste or slower.

Thanx.

High there,
try to find the main oscillator-crystal and replace it with higher value
or replace the crystal with an external oscillator...
I think it is a microcontroller that does the wlan thing, but you can't overclock them so much, maybe 2x the clockfrequency is possible in most cases.
In case of other keyboard/toys often a simple resistor or tank circuit is used (but only if the clockfrequency is under a few MHz).
