Casio Mt-520

Just got my hands on Casio MT-520, Just wondering if anyone has tried it and got any hints or tips for me

Not tried that exact model but I've a small amount of experience with the  MT range - the 205 and 220, both  have the same sounds - got some very nice presets -  and both have a lead distortion and an oscillating fuzz. Also found Hi-Cut filter in the 220 and phrase loops and infinite sustain in the 205, would not be at all surprised if you stumble on something similar. Look for a couple of chips quite close to each other and try shorting between them to get you started.

It looks like you've got the same preset sounds as my other MTs - some really nice stuff here especially the vibraphone, jazz organ, human voice and synth sounds, they really come alive if you can find that oscillating fuzz. Those drum pads look like fun too!

which came out first, the mt series or sk series? it seems the mt series sounds slightly more primative than the sk...i think i want to try the timer mod on my mt!

I just hustled a mt-520 from a pawn shop for 20 bucks, has anyone had any progress on bending this?
If so, can I get some tips? I love this keyboard and it's tone, and I'm wary about going into it blindly with the amount of current it carries.

If it runs from a 9v supply or batteries its not going to hurt you unless it has some absolutely massive caps, or theres something so wrong with the power supply that the whole thing would have already gone up in smoke anyway.

So far, I have put in about 2 hours of poking around in this and have only found little variable resisters( I guess is what they are) that can me turned to change the sustain in relation to how long the keys are pressed, and change the tone a bit in an odd way. I'm not really sure what to do with it.

Is there any way I could run an input through the speakers on this?
I have a little skull candy speaker amp that I was wondering If I could use.]
