BEND PATCH-BAY for SK1
« on: November 12, 2009, 09:14:27 PM »

i dug around and found a diagram for the possible bends on the sk1. this seems pretty doable.

i've taken note of some pretty nice looking cases made for the sk1 keyboards.

does anyone have advice for building a practical patchbay?

should this be built in the same case as the sk1? or can it be a totally separate module? if separate, what is the best way to connect them all? is there are type of connector, similar to MIDI (though, not midi), with multiple pins?

it might be easier to just build it all into one box.

Bends Patchbay VS Switches...
« Reply #1 on: November 24, 2009, 10:50:22 PM »

i noticed some using rca jacks to control the patch matrix of an sk1 and some wire switches to the matrix & wire switches together in series.

what are the advantages/disadvantages of each, based on everybody's opinions?

jacks take up more space than switches. switches are not as fun as patching are examples.
