I chanced upon this site a couple of days ago, some funky inspirational bends on here!

Karls website is great place to start then maybe start messing with an arduino it can output video

video bending is quite a bit more challenging that audio bending you have to take in to account sync signals its easy to corrupt the signal so much you just get a blank screen if you try and hook the device up to a monitor/projector

gook luck!

Hmm yeah, guess I should have thought of that. I don't know much about electrical engineering, or, in other words, how the R thingys works with the Vs and the SPDTs.  Maybe someday when I'm better at circuit bending toys I can learn a bit about video. For now I got a few simple schematics from Karl's site, and that should be enough. Maybe I'll order something from him.. shit's so cool.

should definitely start with cheap "faxe" video mixers.Thoses that were sold in the late 80's-90's as "video mixers".The only official purpose of those was to add someaudio onto a video.
Choose similar so-called mixers with a video enhancer or color corrections. These are the functions to bend.
Once you have experienced on these you can go to ave5 or else, but this gets a bit more expensive and risky.
