PT2399 delay with resonant filter
« on: May 18, 2013, 11:19:21 PM »

I had a thought; the pt2399 has a couple of bonus opamps on it, used ordinarily for filtering.
Would it be possible to use one of them in to make a resonant filter ala the Tim Escobedo VCF (sk phat philter)?

could make a tastey low part count multi-effect thingy!

Any thoughts?

The feedback path is external to the chip, so yes you could add a resonant filter.  Bung in a bandpass filter with a bit of soft clipping and maybe an allpass filter, and you've got a convincing tape delay.
